These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of AskFreddie, a personal finance assistant delivered via WhatsApp. By completing the sign-up process and starting your free trial, you agree to these Terms.
AskFreddie allows you to log expenses and income, set reminders, track tasks, and receive spending summaries by sending natural-language messages to a WhatsApp number. The service is provided on a subscription basis.
AskFreddie is a personal financial management tool. It is not regulated financial advice. Nothing Freddie sends constitutes advice to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use AskFreddie. You must have a valid WhatsApp account linked to a UK phone number.
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. No payment is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically begin at £6.99 per month unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Payments are processed by Stripe and charged to the card you provide at sign-up. Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day each month.
You may cancel at any time by:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the service until that date. We do not offer partial-month refunds.
If you cancel within the first 7 days of a paid subscription (immediately after your trial), you may request a full refund by emailing support@askfreddie.co.uk within 14 days of the charge. Refund requests are assessed individually; we aim to process them within 5 business days.
You agree not to:
We aim to provide AskFreddie continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Twilio, Stripe, WhatsApp), or unforeseen events may cause temporary interruptions. We will notify you via WhatsApp for any planned downtime exceeding 30 minutes.
AskFreddie is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for:
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in that period.
AskFreddie and all associated software, prompts, and interfaces are the intellectual property of AskFreddie. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.
Your financial data belongs to you. We process it to provide the service and do not claim any ownership over it.
We may update the service or these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay your subscription after a grace period of 3 days, or use the service in a way that puts others at risk. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
